POSITION SUMMARY :
The Medical Phone Operator is responsible for the efficient handling of incoming telephone calls; accurate scheduling of patient visits that contributes to the maintenance of health providers daily schedules.
What you will be doing
- Answers telephone calls from patients and schedule appointments as necessary.
- Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care, and concern with each and every internal and external customer.
- Handles all phases of telephone communications, including scheduling in-office appointments.
- Routes all calls to appropriate departments, takes accurate and neat messages, and forwards them promptly.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you will bring to the team
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years experience in the medical field required
- Experience lead role in similar office or medical setting preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
