The Space and Intelligence Sector is seeking an Expert Level (18+ years) Systems Architect to work within our dynamic engineering team in Springfield or Chantilly VA.

The Enterprise Engineering team supports the Government by providing Model-based systems engineering (MBSE), Architecture Engineering, Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities from the conceptual design phase and continuing throughout development life cycle phases.

You will be a key member supporting NGA's Sensor Integration (TIS) Office, providing strategic and solutions-level systems engineering support for the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise Architecture.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

  • Developing DoDAF operational (OV), data (DIV), system (SV) and service (SvcV) view products in support of the NGA enterprise architecture.
  • Utilizing architecture products to shape / inform solution requirements in support of acquisition objectives.
  • Aligning architectures to the customer's strategic goals / objectives (roadmaps, mission capabilities).
  • Performing architectural analysis and design using both structured and object techniques.
  • Creating new architecture designs and integrating new architectural features into existing infrastructures while maintaining the integrity and security of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.
  • Identifying system-of-system architectural needs by drilling through all layers of embedded security within the given WAN / LAN architecture.
  • Applying external interface requirements to architectural products; documenting external operational and system data exchanges.

Qualifications

Required :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree and 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
  • 18+ years of experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including : Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), or Intelligence Community's (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Cameo architecture tool, or similar tools.
  • Experience with or in-depth understanding of MBSE.
  • TS / SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
