The three main foundational pillars of our internship program are : develop, educate and network. We want to ensure each of our interns receive a real-world working experience that encourages academic, professional and personal growth.

Candidates should be versatile, eager and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive financial and technical environment. Our interns will have the flexibility of working 2 days remotely, and 3 days in office per week at one of our state-of-the-art offices in Chicago, Kansas City, and New York City. To be eligible for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in a university or college program and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the internship year. The Legal team is hiring for a Legal intern.

The U.S. Legal team supports various Cboe business lines with their existing and new exchange-traded products and services and provides various other corporate legal support services. As a regulated entity, Cboe operates in a highly regulated environment and compliance by Cboe with its legal and regulatory obligations is paramount in the conduct of its business. The Legal intern program is designed to engage you in day-to-day activities and projects contributing towards our Legal team and corporate goals.

Your responsibilities and learning objectives will be : :

• Assist and provide support to Cboe attorneys with all facets of their daily responsibilities, including responsibilities related to various financial products regulation (such as securities, options, and futures) contract drafting, licensing, and general corporate governance matters.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of documents, such as proposed changes to exchange rules and other filings, to the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and other regulators.
• Conduct legal research on issues related to equities, options, futures, digital assets, and foreign exchange regulation, market structure, trading, foreign jurisdiction access, among other issues.

Our pay range for interns is determined by function and education level. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $22.00 - $42.00 per hour. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay target for new hires working in the position full time.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by years of education completed. In addition to base pay, eligibility for our total rewards program may include benefits such as 401 (k) with a generous company match and paid sick time. Your recruiter will provide more details about the total compensation package during the hiring process
