Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Project Manager to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense's tr ansfer of sustainment activities for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program from the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) to the Department of the Air Force (DAF) and the Department of the Navy (DoN).

The Project Manager will ensure a balance of logistics and sustainment priorities, while creating and maintaining efficient and effective financial and business processes for the F-35 enterprise.

Responsibilities

Supervise skilled personnel with the needed technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of DoD sustainment to p rovide lifecycle management, monitoring, and continuous improvement to a fully transitioned F-35 fleet.

• Provide management, direction, administration, quality assurance, and leadership to a dedicated cell of experts in logistics , auditing , financial reporting, sustainment analytics , and administration .
• Establish p roject admin istration procedures to facilitate financial management , staffing and team coordination, developing client relationships, risk management, work / scope management, status reporting, and contract management.
• Develop a comprehensive strategic plan and implementation roadmap with a clear timeline, milestones, and checkpoints for each phase of the transition, while permitting agility to incorporate knowledge learned incrementally.
• Develop strategic communications plan identifying stakeholders, formulation of key messages, and utilization of appropriate communication platform s.
• Update policies and procedures, support process improvements, report metrics, and provide project management support.
• Track status of tasks and initiatives , d evelop time-phased action plans , and assess costs and benefits to facilitate resource allocation and effectively manage staff capacity .
• Communicate and coordinate with OASD(Sustainment) leadership and other key stakeholders to monitor progress, resolve issues, and identify risks.

Qualifications

Required :

• Secret clearance is required .
• Master's degree.
• Significant, direct experience in support of the F-35 program and demonstrated ability to engage with DoD senior executive leadership .
• Minimum of ten (10) years of project / program management experience in the areas of logistics , human capital, change management, training, organizational development, and strategic communications .
• Excellent presentation , facilitation , project , and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills to successfully deliver briefings and interact with executive client leadership.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high quality work under time constraints.
