Job Summary : Inspects and tests subassemblies and top level devices in order to determine conformance to defined requirements.

Maintains inspection through-put in order to meet delivery requirements. This position typically works under close supervision and direction.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

Inspects subassemblies to determine conformance to requirements.

Tests subassemblies and top level devices to determine conformance to functional requirements.

Makes accept / reject decisions using logical decision criteria based on inspection and test instructions.

Retrieves drawings, inspection instructions and part specifications in electronic or hard copy form.

Locates software release information in order to confirm installation of correct released version.

Maintains inspection requirements for production / shipping schedule; including end of day requirements to meet urgent schedule needs.

Verifies daily that current instructions and specifications are in use.

Maintains minimum 0.8 Cost Performance Index on work orders; providing comprehensive justification on items where 0.8 minimum cost index is unachievable.

Minimum Job Requirements :

One year of relevant experience preferred. Requires familiarity with appropriate desk instructions and process flows. Able to read and interpret part drawings, data specifications and test and inspection instructions.

Able to use hand measurement tools : caliper, micrometer and multi-meter. Able to use Windows based programs. Minimum math capabilities required are addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.

Maintains inspection and test status of material as set forth by the QC manager. Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during workday.

Able to bend, kneel and stand repeatedly during workday. Requires 20 / 20 vision or correctable to 20 / 20 and normal color vision.

Availability to work weekends as needed based on business demand.
