Masonicare at Chester Village - Senior Living Community
2pm to 7pm every Saturday and Sunday
The Receptionist greets, assists and directs visitors, residents and other callers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards.
- Provides assistance, guidance and direction to visitors and residents. Ascertains the nature of their business; assists and / or directs visitors and residents to various locations in the community when appropriate.
Calls for an escort when necessary.
Receives messages, flowers, newspapers and other items and notifies appropriate personnel. Delivers or arranges for the delivery of items to residents and appropriate personnel.
Logs incoming packages and signs out packages as residents receive them.
- Assists residents with requests for meal service as well as other needs. Maintains directory and files on current residents, their locations, status and other pertinent information according to established procedure.
- Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
- Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings; attends meetings as required.
- Monitors emergency communications systems and follows emergency operating procedures; uses two-way radio system and notifies and directs appropriate personnel as needed.
- Serves as hand holder to upset residents. Also serves as front of the house eyes and ears, reporting issues of importance to the Director or Security on duty.
- Receives resident transportation requests and forwards to the Transportation Coordinator
- Inputs and prints maintenance and housekeeping work orders into Fieldpoint
- Maintains Guest Room Reservation book
- Responsible for sign-out and return of all keys at the beginning and end of shift
- Assists staff with administrative duties and requests
- Logs-in daily prescriptions from pharmacies and signs them out once they are picked up.
- Maintains front desk shift report in conjunction with Security on duty.
- Keeps reception area neat and clean in view of all guests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Education : High School or equivalent
Experience : Reading and writing skills. Customer Service Skills and Computer Skills are required.
Evening Shift / 10hrs / wk
