Summary of Responsibilities :

This position is responsible for performing support functions associated with the quality control department and support the QA and MFG Support Specialists as needed.

Duties include generating and ordering final product documentation, scheduling and organizing workflow, storing departmental documentation using digital and manual methods and providing assistance to Quality management and departmental staff members.

Ability to work as part of a team while independently managing daily schedules.

Essential Duties and Functions :

  • Provide clerical and other support services to the quality control leadership team.
  • Use applicable applications to generate, order and distribute final product documentation including assays and certificates.
  • Schedule, organize and administer blood and urine collection programs in accordance with associated work instructions.
  • Store departmental documentation using applicable digital and manual methods.
  • Assist with lot initiation activities in LIMS.
  • Generate schedules for QC testing events in accordance with associated work instructions.
  • Assist in maintaining departmental lab and office supply inventory.
  • Generate and distribute records and labels to QC areas.
  • Coordinate team monthly report collection and compile for leadership review.
  • Assist in compiling binders for new personnel training progress and uploading completed training registers to document management system.
  • Schedule and track QC specific refresher training events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by quality control management.

Position Requirements :

  • Associate degree in business or related discipline preferred. Relevant experience may substitute.
  • Minimum two years administrative experience preferred. Relevant experience and skillsets may substitute.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude to develop proficiency in other applications.

Technical Competencies :

  • Must be dependable, flexible, well organized, and possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Must have high attention to detail.
  • Must have a professional attitude and appearance, and effective oral and written communication.

Work Environment / Travel Demands :

The work environment is a climate-controlled biological / chemical laboratory. Occasional short durations to cold temperatures inside walk-in coolers.

Ability to wear required laboratory clean room clothing (laboratory coats, hair bonnets, and beard covers (as applicable) and other safety / protective equipment (masks, gloves, and / or face shields for example) for up to two and a half hours consecutively.

Travel demands for this position are estimated up to 0%. If travel is required, this travel may include customer visits, events / trade shows, and completion of presentations primarily throughout Domestic US or International regions.

Employeesmustcomply with all travel recommendations regarding "safe travel" according tocompany policies and guidelines, and allfederal, state, local, and international orders.

Physical and Mental Demands :

Light work exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 5 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 0 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

This also includes standing for up to two and a half hours consecutively, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching, stooping, fingering, and grasping.

Expressing and receiving detailed information through written and oral communication. Also has an ability to make sound, appropriate, and prompt decisions within the guidelines of the role.
