What you will be doing

As the Key Leader of Measurement Experimentation, you will shape the future of measurement science at Albertsons Media Collective.

You’ll be at the forefront, experimenting and implementing advanced methodologies to unlock deeper insights and optimize our growing retail media network.

Championing a robust innovative roadmap, you’ll explore and experimenting with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to ensure our measurement practices stay ahead of the curve.

You’ll spearhead a cross-functional team in developing and implementing advanced measurement solutions like MMM, MTA, and Unified Measurement.

You'll have a dedicated team to support with analyzing complex data from these solutions and translating them into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Additionally, you'll communicate findings and recommendations to secure buy-in from senior leadership and key clients.

The position will be based in Boise, Idaho, or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Pleasanton CA, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ).

Main responsibilities

  • Spearhead experimentation and innovation workstreams for the Measurement Science team.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of advanced measurement solutions, including research, development, and launch (., MMM, MTA, Unified Measurement).
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in digital advertising measurement, attribution and incrementality methodologies, and data privacy regulations.
  • Leverage statistical expertise in experimental design and methodology development.
  • Guide a diverse team of data analysts, scientists, and engineers. Equip team with statistical frameworks and approaches, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting continuous learning.
  • Lead and support dedicated team in developing research hypotheses, analyzing and translating complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Design, craft, and test measurement experiments and pilots, ultimately diversifying our measurement portfolio and offerings.
  • Partner with product and engineering to establish a long-term science vision for our advertising business, translating it into actionable plans.
  • Provide expert consultation to both internal and external partners, ensuring widespread understanding and adoption of advanced methodologies and capabilities.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, conveying market research insights and test recommendations for strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Some travel may be required, up to 5%.

The salary range is $102,700 to $143,800 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications.

There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

Benefits may include, medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO / Vacation pay / Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).

Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

What we are searching for

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field is required) is required;

advanced degree master's or PhD is a strong plus.

  • 8+ years of experience with 4+ years in data science, research, or measurement, ideally within retail media, social media, media measurement firms, or agencies.
  • Successful experience in owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition, with the ability to lead technical and impactful discussions at all levels and gain buy-in and support for innovation initiatives.
  • Statistical wizard : possess a deep understanding of marketing measurement techniques and statistical methods, including incrementality, unified measurement, media mix modeling, test-control methodologies, Bayesian inference, and more.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of simplifying complex issues and proposing innovative recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex concepts and technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple stakeholders, and competing priorities.
  • Experience in retail media, marketing data privacy, MMM, ML / AI, LLMs, and DCR technologies.
  • Proficiency in : Statistic concepts, programming / query languages : SQL, Python, R
