Description : IT Security Analyst hasknowledge of commonly used concepts practices and procedures withina particular field.
Relies on instructions and preestablishedguidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary jobfunctions do not typically require exercising independentjudgment.
Responsibilities :
- Monitor and advise on information security issues relatedto the systems and workflow at an agency to ensure the internal ITsecurity controls for an agency are appropriate and operating asintended.
- Coordinate and execute ITsecurityrelated projects for the agency.
- Coordinate response to information security incidents.
- Develop and publish Information Securitypolicies procedures standards and guidelines based on knowledge ofbest practices and compliance with State IT Security policiesstandards and guidelines.
- Conduct statewidedata classification assessment and security audits and manageremediation plans.
- Collaborate with ITmanagement Internal Audit and SOM to manage securityvulnerabilities.
- Create manage and maintainuser security awareness.
- Conduct securityresearch and keep abreast of latest security issues.
- Prepares IT security documentation including departmentpolicies and procedures agency notifications Web content andalerts.
RequiredSkills :
- IDS(Intrusion Detection System).
- IOC (Indicatorsof Compromise).
- Experience with writingSecurity Related Policies & Procedures.
- SEIM (Security Event & Incident Management)experience.
- Security Operations Center (SOC)experience.
- CISSP Certification
Education :
Bachelors Degree.
