Sr. Electric Test & Communications Specialist

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Relay Testing & Commissioning Specialist

Position Type : Full Time( Contract )

Duration : 6-12 months Contract

Location : Houston, TX (Primary Work Locations : TX, OK, LA, KY, NM - Can change)

As a Relay Testing & Commissioning Specialist , you will :

• Prepare and recommend testing & commissioning solutions to the Project Manager or client.
• Ensures the performance of all field testing on substation equipment is completed accurately and safely.
• Performs demonstration tests, as required, which are a series of functional tests designed to simulate real world conditions to ensure proper operation of yard equipment.
• Develops and executes substation equipment test procedures.
• Ensure compliance of testing QA / QC process.
• Regularly meet and correspond with clients and outside personnel with responsibility to act independently on technical matters related to testing & commissioning.
• Consults with clients on testing and commissioning projects.
• Maintains client relationships with client field personnel.

The ideal candidate will have :

• Associate degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls, or equivalent.
• Must have an expert understanding of electrical systems.
• Must exhibit advanced knowledge of electrical industry standards.
• Requires excellent written and verbal communication attention to safety, strong analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
• Must be advanced in the use of testing equipment and tools.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS :

Pay Range : $35-$75 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
