About Us

Global Impact Group LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and ISO 9001 / ISO 17100 certified provider of interpretation and translation services. We provide secure, high-quality language access solutions in more than 80 languages to USCIS and other federal agencies.

We are seeking Kiche (also spelled Quich) Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Kiche is a critical rare language of Guatemala, often requested for asylum and immigration cases.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Kiche English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.

Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration, legal, and administrative settings.

Adhere to USCIS / DHS compliance standards and interpreter ethics.

Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent / surge calls.

Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Kiche (Quich) and English.

2+ years of interpreting experience (immigration, legal, community, or government preferred).

Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.

Strong telephone communication skills; ability to remain neutral and accurate.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3 / Tier 5 federal clearance.
