Project Engineer- Pipelines

Key Accountabilities

â ¢ Assists the Project Lead in overseeing day-to-day activities of the Pipelines project contractors.

â ¢ Organizes and controls project work to ensure that all project objectives and priorities are being met regarding safety, environment, cost, schedule, work environment, and quality.

â ¢ Oversees Pipeline project contractors to complete all activities and deliverables within the baseline schedule and in compliance with the agreed specifications and standards.

â ¢ Ensures that decisions for pipelines are made in alignment with all relevant Project Team members, contractors and stakeholders, and maintains records of decision basis.

â ¢ Manages timely review of Technical Queries and preparation of responses.

â ¢ Coordinates Company review of project deliverables and engages technical authorities as required.

â ¢ Provides input to key deliverables such as Basis of Design, Project Execution Plan, Schedule, Cost Estimates, Risk Register, Construction Execution Plan, etc.

â ¢ Coordinate field work activities and engineering walk downs and support, including up to 10% personal travel to North Slope.

â ¢ Supports Project Lead in the preparation of presentations on project issues and updates for Management.

â ¢ Assists in monitoring contractor progress, manpower, and budget.

â ¢ Keeps team members informed on Project progress and developments.

â ¢ Monitors Project change and variation orders.

â ¢ Promotes knowledge sharing and contribute to good communication and cooperation with Management and key individuals.

Desired Skills and Experience

â ¢ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred.

â ¢ Intermediate level, typically 3-8 years of relevant experience.

â ¢ Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

â ¢ Pipeline design and installation preferred.

â ¢ Arctic project experience preferred.

â ¢ Project management and leadership skills with the ability to support project definition and make decisions within well-defined parameters required.

â ¢ Ability to identify problems, apply knowledge and develop potential solutions incorporating input from key stakeholders required.
