General Manager Food and Nutrition Services

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager of Food and Nutrition Services to lead all aspects of food operations for our 609-bed hospital, including patient meals, retail dining, and catering services. This role is ideal for a strategic leader passionate about innovation, team development, process improvement, and delivering an exceptional patient and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of food and nutrition services, including patient meals, retail dining, and catering.

Ensure high-quality service delivery that meets and exceeds company and client expectations.

Develop and maintain strong client and customer relationships, including communication with senior leadership and C‑suite executives.

Create strategic plans to drive operational efficiency, team engagement, and business growth.

Ensure compliance with HACCP, regulatory requirements, and company standards.

Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to achieve organizational goals.

Lead, coach, and develop management teams and staff to support operational excellence and employee engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.

Minimum of five years of management and functional experience in food and nutrition services.

Proven leadership experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.

Experience managing unionized staff is preferred.

Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and meet performance targets.

Exceptional client relationship skills and professional communication abilities.

Proficient in computer systems and report management.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, demonstrate flexibility, and deliver outstanding customer service.
