PennDOT TCI - Transportation Construction Inspector

PRIME AE Group (www.primeeng.com), a well-established and emerging multi-discipline architectural and engineering firm with 19 office locations and over 475+ employees within the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Southeast Regions, is looking to add Transportation Construction Inspectors (TCI-1, TCI-2, TCI-3) to our existing CM / CI team for PennDOT projects in PennDOT District 4-0 , PennDOT District 5-0 , and PennDOT District 6-0 .

Anyone with any level of highway / structure construction inspection experience (TCI-1, TCI-2, TCI-3) with certifications or a Civil Engineering Degree are encouraged to apply.

The Inspector will need to :

• Follow Specification 408, RC, BC, TC, contract special provisions, and other standards.
• Review project plans
• Review contractor schedules
• Complete Project Site Activity reports (PSA's) and other needed project documentation at the end of each day utilizing an iPad.
• Prepare work orders and estimates as per the Publication 2 - Project Office Manuel.
• Have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
• Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record required.

These positions may include construction inspection for concrete or asphalt roadways, structures, drainage systems, guide rail, MPT, and E&S components.

Required certifications or experience includes any combination of the following :

• NICET
• NECEPT Concrete
• NECEPT Asphalt
• IPAD / PPCC / ECMS
• Nuclear Gauge Certification
