Description
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT department. This role involves providing strategic oversight, maintenance, and configuration of our IT systems to ensure they align with company goals and policies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security, efficiency, and effective operation of our data backup systems, network infrastructure, software deployment, and compliance with HIPAA and PCI-DSS regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure the effective and efficient operation of all IT systems, including data security, software updates, and network management.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Configure and manage IT systems in accordance with best practices and company policies.
- Support compliance efforts with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and other relevant regulations.
- Assist with the management of IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users, improving overall technology literacy across the organization.
- Collaborate with the IT team to automate processes and improve system performance.
Qualifications
Education / Experience / License Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. (Substitution of experience and / or IT certification allowable)
- At least 2-5 years of experience in system administration, including direct experience with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
- Experience with HIPAA and PCI-DSS compliance requirements.
Qualifications / Skills :
- Proficiency in managing and configuring enterprise data backup systems (e.g., Veeam, Windows Server Backup).
- Strong knowledge of server and virtual machine management, including VMware or Hyper-V environments.
- Expertise in Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and server update management (WSUS / GPO / PDQ).
- Ability to monitor, maintain, and configure file sharing, enterprise monitoring systems (e.g., PRTG, SNMP), and software deployment systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to provide end-user support and training.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports for the IT director / CIO and other management staff.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting or automation tools for DevOps projects is a bonus.
