We are looking for a Sr. Benefits Consultant to support the execution and administration of US and Global benefits. In this role, you'll be responsible for analyzing, developing, recommending, and administering employee benefit programs.
Maintains knowledge of laws and governing benefits compliance. Communicates the benefits package to leaders and associates.
Manages benefit vendors and supports benefit renewal processes for the US and all other Global locations. Problem solving skills and ability to effectively liaise vendor relationship and with internal partners is a must.
About the Job
Responsible for benefits programs including : retirement (401k and non-qualified plans), health and welfare, and wellbeing
Analyzes program effectiveness, recommends plan design changes, and administers programs in compliance with all legislation
Supports benefit renewal processes; both US and Global
Leads open enrollment for all qualified and non-qualified programs, executes plan design changes, develops and executes communications, oversees system set up and testing including vendor integrations
Liaison between company and all vendors. Manages vendor relationships ensuring a strong customer service experience and program compliance
Trouble-shoots and resolves escalated claims issues and inquiries from employees
Completes annual non-discrimination testing, retirement plan audits and true-up calculations
Oversees US and Canada leave management; stays current with ever changing leave legislation
Organizes annual biometric wellness screenings at US locations
Understands legal and reporting requirements as they relate to benefit programs (i.e. ACA, FMLA, state specific leave ordinances)
Makes recommendations for policy changes to ensure company remains in compliance
Completes all required compliance filings
Consults with external counsel on compliance related questions
Prepares annual SOC-1 reviews of vendor partners
Researches and analyzes industry trends and recommends enhancements or improvements to current processes or policies
Conducts benefit design and pricing comparisons and makes harmonization recommendations for newly acquired businesses
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for benefits functionality within Workday platform; leverages system for data, develops job aids, tests system enhancements and communicates system changes to HR organization and associates
About You :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
Minimum of 7 years of benefit experience
Global benefits experience a plus
Strong working knowledge of Retirement Plans (401K and Non-Qualified), Health & Welfare plan designs, COBRA, ACA.
Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, graphs, charts) and PowerPoint skills
Excellent oral and written communication with strong attention to detail; must have the ability to work with Associates at all levels of the organization and collaborate across HR functions
Must be able to prioritize workload and handle numerous interruptions
Ability to solve problems and be alert to inconsistencies in benefit information
Ability to actively troubleshoot and solve problems effectively and independently with exceptional customer focus
Proactive and strategic mindset
Project Management skills
Brings experience from within a large, complex global organization
Prior experience with HRIS Solution, Workday preferred
