Job Summary : Performs a variety of laboratory tests and assays in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations in a designated technical department.
Interprets results, subject to verification by Technologist / Supervisor, and providing allowance by State regulations.
The work schedule for this position is : 1st shift - Tuesday - Saturday, 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm
Job Requirements :
Perform stat urinalysis dips and stat pregnancy tests for obstetrics and gynecology clinic.
Perform daily and monthly maintenance.
Record all quality control and order lab inventory.
Responsible to report all lab concerns to the Lab Director.
Administrative tasks - answering phones and maintaining logs / records, and utilizing computer databases
Organizational skills especially time management
Proficiency with numbers
Communication skills-written and verbal
Assist training of employees when required
License / Certification / Education :
BA / BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or other related science or all required city / state / licenses or permits to qualify as a Technologist
Minimum of 1 year of related clinical lab experience
