Senior Product Designer

AvantStay is revolutionizing the hospitality market through the power of tech automation and efficient operations. We’re one of the biggest short-term rental management companies in the US, but still are a startup at heart.

We operate homes in 60+ destinations across the United States and are planning to grow our portfolio significantly.

We're searching for a Product Designer who is eager to contribute to our growth and to help elevate our service offerings across the board.

You will be an integral part of our Product Team, working to design solutions that enhance our customer experience and operational efficiency in the short-term rental management space.

As a Product Designer, your responsibilities will include :

• Design Strategy : Craft and promote UX strategies that resonate with our objectives and user expectations. Champion user-centric design principles across the company and support a unified design system for our applications.
• Wireframing & Prototyping : Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes to outline and communicate design ideas, ensuring clear representation of the user experience.
• Interaction Design : Design intuitive and accessible interfaces that enhance user interaction with a keen eye for detail.
• User Research : Perform extensive user research to uncover insights into customer preferences and behaviors, employing tools such as surveys, interviews, and usability tests to collect meaningful data.
• User Interface Design : Maintain consistent and visually appealing design language across all products and contribute to the design system's development.
• Collaboration with Developers : Ensure a seamless transition of designs to development, providing precise specifications and support throughout the development phase.
• Testing & Iteration : Lead user testing sessions and analyze feedback to refine designs, utilizing a metrics-based approach for enhancement.
• Documentation : Keep thorough design documentation to ensure continuity of the user experience across our product offerings.

Requirements

• 5+ Years of Experience : A solid background with at least five years in product design successfully bringing products from idea to launch.
• Expertise in Figma : Advanced proficiency in Figma for UI design, prototyping, and team collaboration.The ideal candidate should demonstrate experience in leveraging Figma’s collaborative tools to facilitate effective teamwork, streamline design processes, and ensure seamless communication across design, development, and product management teams.
• Strong Communication Skills : We expect a candidate to be an efficient communicator with a high level of proficiency in English.

Candidates should be empathetic to customers and stakeholders, proactive to get feedback, and clear in expression of their ideas.

Expertise in User-Centric Design for Consumer Interfaces : Proven experience in crafting engaging and intuitive user experiences for consumer interfaces, including websites and mobile applications.

This role demands a deep understanding of design principles that prioritize the guest's journey, ensuring every interaction is accessible, user-friendly, and contributes positively to the guest's overall experience with ourservices.

• Complex Dashboard Design : The role requires extensive experience in designing complex dashboards. This involves an ability to present complex data in an accessible, user-friendly manner, ensuring that the dashboards are not only functional but also intuitive and visually appealing.
• Mobile App Design : Candidates should have a portfolio showcasing their experience in mobile app design. This includes an understanding of mobile design principles, responsiveness, and creating user interfaces that provide an excellent mobile user experience.
