Description

The Director, Data Science & Customer Analytics will develop and leverage data-driven insights to drive strategic decision-making and business growth.

Leads a team of data scientists to develop innovative data strategies, conduct advanced analytics, develop predictive models and generate actionable recommendations to increase customer lifetime value, improve customer retention and drive marketing effectiveness and efficiency.

Partner closely with the Marketing, Finance, Merchandising, Stores and eCommerce teams to activate data-driven insights.

1. Lead a high-performing team of data scientists in collecting, analyzing and interpreting customer data to uncover actionable insights.

Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of projects.2. Apply data analytics to understand customer behavior, preferences and trends, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction, acquisition, retention and cross-selling opportunities.

3. Oversee the design and implementation of advanced analytical models and algorithms to extract valuable insights from large volumes of customer data, such as segmentation, predictive modeling, customer lifetime value analysis and churn prediction.

4. Creates actionable, data-driven insights from customer data to drive personalization within and across channels.5. Lead digital marketing personalization test and learn, including learning agenda, test design, performance measurement and recommendations.

Partner with agency consultants, creative, content and CRM teams to roll out winning tests to drive incremental sales and conversion.

6. Develop and maintain customer dashboards and reports that provide relevant and actionable information about customer file health, customer segment migration and customer LTV to inform customer and marketing strategy.

7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including CRM, Loyalty, eCommerce, Merchandising, Finance and Strategy, to understand their analytical needs and provide insights to support their decision-making processes.

Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and executives.8. Ensure data quality, integrity and security by establishing and enforcing best practices for data collection, storage, processing and analysis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT and Legal, to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.9. Stay up to date with the latest trends, developments and best practices in customer analytics, data science and related technologies.

Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies and methodologies to enhance the customer analytics capabilities of the organization.

10. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the data science and analytics team. Encourage experimentation, innovation and the adoption of best practices in data-driven decision-making.

Qualification

1. Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field required.

Master’s degree preferred.2. 10+ years of related experience in customer data and advanced analytics required.3. 5+ years of proven experience in leading and managing high-performing teams of data scientists and analysts.

Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources and deliver projects on time and within budget.

4. Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL and Python required, along with experience using data manipulation and analysis libraries.

5. Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake preferred.6. In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis, data modeling and machine learning techniques.

Hands-on experience with customer segmentation, predictive modeling, data mining and customer journey analysis.7. Expert knowledge of test design methodologies.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex analytical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.#LI-RG1 #LI-HYBRID
