Job Title : Assistant Director of Datacenter Services
Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Datacenter Services to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our datacenter facilities, ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of our infrastructure.
The Assistant Director will lead a team of datacenter technicians and engineers, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the smooth operation of our datacenter services.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the datacenter facilities, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of infrastructure components.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of datacenter services, including power, cooling, networking, and server hardware.
- Develop and implement datacenter policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Lead a team of datacenter technicians and engineers, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the successful operation of datacenter services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the deployment and maintenance of infrastructure and services.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for datacenter equipment and services.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to datacenter operations, including inventories, procedures, and incident reports.
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for datacenter infrastructure and services.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in datacenter technologies and operations.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- years of experience in datacenter operations or related field.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Thorough understanding of datacenter technologies and infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, networking, and server hardware.
- Experience with datacenter management tools and systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for datacenter operations and security.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications in datacenter management or related areas.
- Experience with cloud technologies and services.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Experience with regulatory compliance requirements related to datacenter operations.
