  • WHAT YOU WILL DO :

  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Billing Department, managing a team responsible for full-cycle project-based invoicing across multiple locations.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant billing processes while upholding company policies, internal controls, and customer requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence by improving workflows, resolving billing delays, and increasing transparency across business units.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Branch Managers, Operations, Finance, and Accounting) to address discrepancies and ensure smooth, accurate invoice delivery.
  • Lead weekly billing meetings to align priorities, remove roadblocks, and ensure accountability within the billing team.
  • Identify process gaps and implement automation or standardization opportunities to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Serve as the billing subject matter expert, supporting month-end close activities and reporting.
  • HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED :

  • Proven experience managing a billing or invoicing team in a dynamic, project-based services environment (environmental, construction, industrial services or similar preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and hold a team accountable to high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, XLOOKUP) and comfort working in ERP or other enterprise systems.
  • Strong understanding of project-based billing cycles, documentation, and client contract requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively across departments.
  • A process-minded problem solver with a hands-on approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where accuracy and speed are critical to the company`s success.
