Work Hours : 4 : 00 pm - 2 : 30 am Monday - Thursday
Position Summary
The Shift Lead is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, supporting team members, and ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met. This role serves as a hands-on technical leader within the department and may assume supervisory responsibilities when needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily department startup and coordinate personnel, materials, and equipment to meet production schedules
- Support, train, and coach team members on welding processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures
- Operate, program, set up, and troubleshoot manual and automated welding equipment as needed
- Perform welding and fabrication work from prints and drawings without assistance
- Monitor production quality, efficiency, and safety; document and report issues as required
- Inspect parts for accuracy, quality, and cosmetic appearance and address discrepancies
- Assist with material requisitions, inventory accuracy, Kanban systems, and physical counts
- Perform and assign routine and preventative maintenance on department equipment
- Participate in cross-functional problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all times
- Assume delegated supervisory duties in the absence of the Department Supervisor

Hiring Salary Range : $32.00-$35.00 / hour (plus $1.00 shift differential rate)
