The Mobility Technician is responsible for providing general support to the efficient function of the Nursing Unit through the mobility of patients out of bed daily for all meals and daily ambulation, while using a variety of equipment to ensure safety. The Technician must demonstrate competency in handling adult and geriatric patients, competency in all safe patient handling equipment and is responsible for adherence to Chesapeake Regional Medical Center's regulations, policies and procedures.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Candidate is required to have reading comprehension skills, writing ability, and verbal communication skills. If candidate does not have a high school diploma or equivalent, they will be required to complete a reading and writing assessment. Must be 18 years of age to work in a direct care setting.
Education and Experience
Minimum Required Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Previous experience as a Rehabilitation Technician, Care Partner or as a Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Basic Life Support Certification-BLS
