With unparalleled agility and cost-effective scaling, we offer cutting-edge expertise to address the industry's unique challenges and opportunities. Our finely tuned solutions, from system integration to delivering new digital capabilities, leverage both onshore and nearshore capabilities for flexible, efficient, and responsive support. This ensures seamless collaboration, improved communication, and faster turnaround times, all while maintaining high quality and cost-effectiveness, setting us apart in a world teeming with generic solutions.

We're looking to grow our Engineering Team at NLS!

Are you a hands-on technical leader who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering high-impact solutions? As a Technical Lead, you’ll play a critical role in driving the successful delivery of enterprise client solutions—leading engineering teams from design through deployment.

In this role, you won’t just guide the work—you’ll be in it. You’ll collaborate closely with Solution Architects, mentor developers, and help bring scalable, high-quality systems to life. If you enjoy leading from the front, working directly with clients, and building modern, integrated systems, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

We know you care about benefits and perks, so feel free to scroll down to that section, and then scroll back up to learn more about this role.

What You'll Do:

Lead Technical Delivery

• Lead the technical implementation of enterprise solutions across client engagements
• Guide engineering teams through complex platform implementations and system integrations
• Translate architectural direction into practical technical designs and execution plans
• Identify and resolve technical challenges throughout the implementation lifecycle
• Ensure solutions are delivered with quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability

Provide Engineering Leadership

• Provide day-to-day technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
• Establish and uphold development standards for code quality, testing, and documentation
• Conduct code reviews and support engineers in solving complex technical problems
• Partner with project leadership to align technical delivery with timelines and business goals

Implement and Integrate Systems

• Implement and extend solutions on the Duck Creek platform
• Design and develop integrations between policy administration systems and enterprise platforms
• Build APIs, services, and supporting applications to enable solution delivery
• Develop custom components such as integrations, digital portals, and supporting services

Client Collaboration

• Work directly with client technical teams, architects, and stakeholders
• Communicate technical progress, risks, and key design decisions
• Support integration of solutions within broader client technology ecosystems

Support Engineering Innovation

• Contribute to internal initiatives that enhance engineering practices and delivery capabilities
• Help develop reusable components, accelerators, and engineering standards
• Explore emerging technologies that improve developer productivity and solution delivery

What You'll Bring:

• Strong full-stack engineering experience delivering enterprise systems and integrations
• Hands-on experience implementing the Duck Creek platform and integrating with enterprise systems
• Proven experience leading development teams through complex implementations
• Expertise designing and developing APIs and enterprise integrations
• Strong development experience with C# and the .NET platform
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms with third-party systems and internal applications
• Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to guide teams through complex challenges
• Ability to translate architectural vision into practical implementation approaches
• Experience working in client-facing or consulting environments
• Interest in modern engineering practices such as automation, AI-assisted development, and developer productivity tools

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6–10+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering enterprise solutions
• Hands-on experience implementing the Duck Creek platform
• Experience implementing policy administration systems or other insurance platforms
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise system integrations
• Experience working within Agile software development environments
• Experience in consulting, client delivery, or services-based environments preferred

Additional Requirements:

• Full-time position working primarily Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST (flexibility for after-hours work as needed)
• This position can be remote or based in Springfield, MO or San Juan, Puerto Rico
• Ability to travel as needed
