Position Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Revenue Cycle Manager to lead and optimize the financial operations of our high-volume laboratory in Garden Grove. This role will oversee a team of 25 billing and coding professionals and be responsible for driving efficiency, compliance, and financial performance across the entire revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage a team of 25 revenue cycle staff including billing, coding, and collections personnel
- Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle processes including charge capture, coding, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, and patient collections
- Monitor KPIs and revenue cycle performance metrics, providing regular reports and improvement plans
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and payer-specific regulations (HIPAA, Medicare / Medicaid, etc.)
- Identify workflow gaps and implement strategies to accelerate reimbursements and reduce claim denials
- Partner with lab operations and leadership to streamline interdepartmental communication and data sharing
- Manage external vendors such as billing software providers and third-party collections agencies
- Conduct internal audits and support training and education for revenue cycle team members
- Stay current on coding changes, payer policies, and industry best practices
- Participate in financial planning and support leadership with forecasting and budgeting
