Bachelor's Degree

Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements - 5+ years

Experience in a role, as a business analyst, supporting a software development project, in the past 5 years - 5+ years

Ability to lead meetings, conduct training & information sessions, communicate at a level appropriate to the audience, make oral and written reports and presentations - 5+ years

Proficiency with MS Office - 3+ years

Experience working as a liaison between the development team and project manager or business client in a software development project - 2+ years

Experience with Azure DevOps, including creating User Stories and queries - 1+ years

Senior Business Analyst Level 5 Position Description - Maximum Bill Rate $80.00

Seeking a Senior Business Analystto assist with the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Grants Management System known as NexSys. The MDE Grants Management System is comprised of about 100+ different grant applications that is responsible for over 2 billion dollars of payments to state educational entities.

Business Analyst

We are looking for someone who understands and has experience with the software development lifecycle as they will be managing work requests to support operational support needs for web applications and gather requirements for project initiatives. This role is the liaison between the technical team and the business client. This will be about 90% of the time for this resource. This is a senior position so the selected candidate will possess leadership skills including but not limited to the ability to delegate tasks to the team, effective communication and being able to lead a team of business analysts and be comfortable leading requirement meetings with business and other technical resources.

Tasks :

Desired Interview Dates / Times : Tuesday August 12th, 2025 : 10 : 30-11 : 30 am, 2 : 45-3 : 45 pm

Wednesday August 13th, 2025 : 12 : 45-1 : 45 pm, 2 : 15-3 : 15 pm

Friday August 15th, 2025 : 8 : 30am-9 : 30 am, 10-11 am

Interview will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, 2nd interviews will be held in person.

2nd round Interviews will be held on August 18th-22nd. Specific Timeslots TBD

Desired Start Date : Tuesday September 2nd; start date is flexible

Work location is hybrid, 2 days in office is required (Tuesday & Wednesday preferred) and 3 days working from home. (Candidate can be full time in office, if desired.)
