Contract Length : 12 weeks

Start Date : November 2, 2025

End Date : January 31, 2026

Schedule : Full-time, remote

Pay Rate : $41.00 Hourly

Position Overview

Loma Linda University Health is seeking experienced Certified Professional Coders (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialists (CCS) for a remote travel assignment supporting the Health Information Management (HIM) department. This role focuses on inpatient account coding and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with current coding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately code inpatient medical records in accordance with ICD-10-CM and PCS coding guidelines.

Ensure timely and compliant coding of all assigned accounts.

Collaborate with clinical documentation specialists and HIM leadership to resolve coding discrepancies.

Maintain productivity and quality standards as defined by department policy.

Adhere to all confidentiality and compliance regulations.

Qualifications

Certification required : CCS (Certified Coding Specialist).

Preferred : CPC or additional AHIMA / AAPC certifications.

Minimum of 2 years of inpatient coding experience.

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and remote coding platforms.

Strong knowledge of DRG assignment and coding compliance standards.
