We seek an entrepreneurial individual with the desire and ability to serve the Army/USACE community, develop and implement strategies, execute major programs and build a team. As Stantec GS' Army/USACE Client Working Group Lead you will be supported by and directly work with the Stantec GS company leadership, collaborate with business line leadership and other US Federal Client Working Group Leads, and lead teams in the pursuit and execution of major Army/USACE contracts and programs.

  • Seek and enhance small business relationships within the U.S. Federal small business community.
  • Seek and enhance favorable relationships with strategic partners within the U.S. Federal planning and engineering community.
  • Assist in strategic planning activities associated with Stantec's US Federal Program, including the identification of potential beneficial acquisitions and transformational projects.
  • Perform Program Management, QA, and related activities supporting the management and execution of projects.
  • Represent Stantec with outreach efforts, including professional societies and other organizations linked to the Army/USACE.

Your capabilities and credentials include:

  • Strong relationships with Army, USACE, Installation Management Command (IMCOM), Army Materiel Command (AMC), Army Environmental Command, HQ Army National Guard and HQ Army Reserves along with the active, reserve, and ANG installations.
  • Knowledge of the Army/USACE structure and procurement process.
  • Strong understanding of the Army/USACE planning and architecture-engineering market.
  • Strong ability and demonstrated experience in building and maintaining productive relationships with Army/USACE personnel.
  • An entrepreneurial orientation with a deep understanding of the business development challenges of a consulting-services provider.
  • Strong leadership skills, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in leading a team of highly skilled professionals and an ability to successfully network across a large enterprise organization.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, coordination, and managerial skills.
  • Experience with and a working knowledge of the Federal procurement SF330 process.
  • The ability to travel as required to manage efforts across the US, Alaska, and Hawaii as well as selected Army installations and USACE Districts around the world.
  • Army/USACE leadership veterans with extensive A/E contracting and execution experience are preferred.
  • Experience in the U.S. southeastern region preferred.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related field, including Architecture, Environmental Science, or other relevant scientific disciplines.
  • Advanced degree in a related field, preferred.
  • Engineering or Architectural registration is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience with Army/USACE installations/facilities.
