Job Title

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities within the Northern California territory.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, landscape architects, municipalities, schools, developers, and property owners.
  • Prospect through networking, referrals, cold calling, and industry events.
  • Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and product presentations.
  • Develop proposals and coordinate with estimating and operations teams.
  • Negotiate pricing, project scope, and contract terms.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Represent ProGreen at industry functions, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Achieve or exceed established sales and revenue goals.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Previous sales experience in the turf industry.
  • Strong knowledge of artificial turf products, applications, and installation processes.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and closing sales opportunities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory.
  • Must reside within the Northern California region.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly.

Travel:

  • Travel throughout Northern California to meet with prospective and existing customers.
  • Conduct onsite consultations and project evaluations to assess customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Visit residential, commercial, and municipal project sites as part of the sales process.
  • Gather project information, measurements, and requirements needed to prepare proposals.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required for customer meetings, trade shows, or company events.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Experience using CRM software to manage leads, opportunities, and customer relationships.
  • Ability to prepare proposals, estimates, and sales presentations.
  • Comfortable using mobile devices, tablets, and cloud-based applications in the field.
  • Experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Teams or Zoom.
