Job description

Asana Partners Analyst Program

Asana Partners is a retail real estate investment firm creating value in vibrant neighborhoods by leveraging vertically integrated capabilities and retail expertise. With more than $8 billion of neighborhood assets under management, the firm is active in growth markets throughout the United States and is driven to make a positive impact within communities.

Our distinctive company culture is the key to our success. We recruit high-performing, ambitious individuals who are entrepreneurial and eager to maximize their potential in a team environment. We value relationship building both internally and externally and view it as the foundation for creating value for our neighborhoods and generating strong results for our investors. Asana Partners is known for our proven, strategic approach; our sophisticated, collaborative team; and our high-quality portfolio. With offices in Charlotte, Atlanta, Boston, Columbia, Denver, Los Angeles, and New York, we were founded to be a firm that would provide career-long opportunities for our people and a long-term partner for our investors.

The Analyst Program is a three-year program during which the Analyst will develop best-in-class private equity real estate skills in a team-oriented, fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and high-performance environment. Each year of the program is structured to give the Analyst an increasing amount of responsibility at the firm and exposure to the private equity real estate industry while also placing heightened focus on development of interpersonal and leadership skills. After completing the program, each Analyst will be promoted to Associate and will be placed in a distinctive value-add functional area based on skillset and interest. Functional areas include investments, development, asset management, portfolio management, leasing, capital markets, and investor relations. Duties include:

  • Work closely with senior executives and various execution teams to provide analytics, research, and execution support for key strategic areas including investment underwriting, modeling, acquisition diligence, business analytics, fundraising, capital markets, investor relations, investment analytics, leasing analytics, valuations, and portfolio-level budgeting and reforecasting.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated projection models highlighting critical investment performance metrics
  • Plan and produce investor reporting and investor meeting deliverables
  • Support equity and debt financing transactions, including equity capital raising and secured debt placements
  • Build or streamline internal processes to drive operating efficiency across departments
  • Gain expertise in a variety of technical platforms, including Argus Enterprise, Yardi, MapDash, and WDesk

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, technology, organizational, and process design skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of effective independent judgment
  • Acute attention to detail and passion for quality
  • Proficiency in and passion for leveraging AI to maximize productivity
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
