An established and rapidly growing mechanical construction contractor is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee complex mechanical construction projects across multiple regions. This is an excellent opportunity for a field leader with a strong background in HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems who enjoys managing high-profile projects while driving safety, quality, and schedule performance. Client Details Our client is a well-established mechanical construction contractor with a reputation for delivering complex HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects across commercial and industrial markets. Known for investing in its people, the business combines large-project stability with a collaborative, field-focused culture that empowers leaders to make an impact from day one. Description The Traveling Superintendent will report to Regional Operations Leadership and be responsible for managing field operations on large-scale mechanical construction projects. The successful Traveling Superintendent will serve as the primary site leader, ensuring project execution aligns with client expectations, safety standards, and company objectives. Lead all day-to-day field operations for mechanical construction projects. Coordinate and direct subcontractors, craft labor, and project teams to maintain schedule and productivity goals. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Manage installation activities involving HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum. Monitor project schedules, manpower planning, and site logistics to drive successful project delivery. Conduct site meetings, progress reporting, and workforce development activities while promoting a positive team culture. Profile For the Traveling Superintendent - Mechanical Construction we are seeking: Proven experience as a Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or Lead Field Supervisor within mechanical construction. Strong background overseeing HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems installation. Experience managing large commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, mission-critical, or institutional construction projects. Ability to travel extensively and oversee projects in multiple locations. Strong understanding of project scheduling, safety management, and quality control processes. Experience coordinating subcontractors, labor forces, and multiple stakeholders. Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling platforms such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred. Job Offer Competitive base salary. Vehicle allowance or company vehicle.
