Job description

Job brief

Our client is a fast-growing leading industrial automation solution provider, specializing in high-performance servo drives, motors, PLC systems, HMIs, and integrated motion control solutions. With robust R&D investment and expanding global footprint, it has established overseas branches in major markets, winning trust via reliable technology and professional services.

This role is to strengthen the clients technical support capability in the USA. As the key technical link between global headquarters, customers, and partners, it will resolve application issues, enable distributors, and ensure smooth product application for end users.

Responsibilities

  • Provide application-level technical support for servo drives, motors, PLC systems, HMIs, and motion control solutions, assisting customers in machine commissioning, tuning, troubleshooting, and system optimization while aligning with their engineering teams requirements.
  • Deliver in-depth technical onboarding and training for strategic OEM/ODM and joint development customers R&D teams, participate in customized solution discussions, and collaborate with the global R&D team to accurately convey customer needs and feedback.
  • Enable distributor technical teams through training on product features, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting, support their pre-sales queries and solution design, and assist them in building local technical capabilities for end-user support.
  • Provide on-site technical support for machine builders and end users when remote support is insufficient, including commissioning, fault diagnosis, pilot project support, and acceptance tests, and submit detailed technical reports post-service.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams for bid support and customer demos, coordinate with global headquarters engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues, and provide structured feedback on product performance and local technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelors degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields, with 3+ years of hands-on experience in motion control, servo systems, PLC programming, or machine commissioning.
  • Proficient in industrial control systems including servo drives/motors, PLCs, HMIs, fieldbuses (EtherCAT, CANopen), and automation software tools; experience with machine builders or automation integrators is preferred.
  • Possess strong problem-solving abilities, hands-on debugging experience, and the capability to clearly explain technical concepts to engineers, distributors, and end users.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin is highly preferred, enabling direct work communication with the headquarters' technical team; skilled in cross-border, multicultural teamwork and communication.
  • Willing to travel frequently within the United States and occasionally to the global headquarters for training, with the ability to work independently in a fast-growing overseas organization and document technical issues clearly.
