About Arboreal Management

Arboreal Management is a mission-driven property management company focused on affordable and workforce housing in the Pacific Northwest. We’ve grown quickly to manage over 5,000 homes with integrity, care, and a commitment to long-term community success. Our strength lies in combining strong operations, deep compliance expertise, and modern technology to deliver exceptional outcomes for residents, partners, and regulators.

About the Role

Arboreal Management is hiring a full-time Security team member to support safe, welcoming, and well-managed residential properties across our portfolio.

This is a full-time, on-site position, the schedule is 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Location: Tacoma-area - 3 properties within a 4 mile radius
Reports to: Property Manager

Hours: Full-time, 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
Compensation: $24/hour, includes benefits, PTO, holiday pay

Core Responsibilities

  • Monitor property grounds, common areas, and building entry points to ensure resident safety and property security.

  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections; document and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, and unusual activity.

  • Serve as a visible, approachable presence for residents and visitors; respond to resident concerns and requests with professionalism and empathy.

  • Coordinate with property management on incident reporting, follow-up actions, and resident communications.

  • Assist with access control, visitor screening, and enforcing property rules in a fair and consistent manner.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Property Management — experience working on residential properties, supporting onsite operations, or collaborating with property managers.

  • Previous experience in security, building concierge, resident services, or related roles preferred.

Key Traits

  • Attention to Detail — accurately observing, documenting, and communicating issues and incidents.

  • Communication — clear, professional verbal and written communication with residents, team members, and vendors.

  • Flexibility — adaptable scheduling and a willingness to cover different shifts as operational needs evolve.

  • Customer Orientation — resident-centered approach, de-escalation skills, and a commitment to respectful service.

  • Initiative — proactive problem solving, identifying opportunities to improve safety and resident experience.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Ability to pass background and reference checks.

  • Reliable transportation and punctuality for scheduled shifts.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Why Join Us

  • Work in a mission-driven organization focused on preserving and improving affordable housing across the Pacific Northwest.

  • Join a collaborative onsite team with clear lines of support from property management and regional leadership.

  • Opportunities to grow into additional property operations or resident services roles.
