  • Install and mount networking equipment such as routers, switches, patch panels, and firewalls in server racks.
  • Perform cable management, labeling, and patching, ensuring all work adheres to established standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with low voltage cabling and networking equipment, performing tests and inspections to ensure optimal performance.

  • Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and security, following all data center protocols and guidelines.
  • Keep accurate records of installations, updates, and repairs performed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies relevant to low voltage systems and networking hardware.
Qualifications:

  • Experience installing and maintaining low voltage cabling and networking equipment, preferably in a data center environment.
  • Proficiency with cable testing tools and network equipment.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards such as ANSI/TIA/EIA and BICSI.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with power distribution units (PDUs) and server rack configurations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and high places.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with hyper-scale data centers.
  • Experience with structured cabling systems.
