Key Personnel – SharePoint Developer / Functional Analyst Role Summary Delivers the bulk of hands-on configuration, customization, and testing of the Modern SharePoint site. Translates business requirements into technical solutions, supports UAT, and creates training materials. Key Responsibilities
- Configure Modern pages, lists, libraries, site navigation, and web parts per the approved site map.
- Develop SPFx web parts, extensions, and customizations to meet UI refresh and personalization requirements.
- Implement document tagging, metadata templates, term sets, and managed navigation.
- Enhance search : configure result sources, query rules, refiners, and custom display templates.
- Migrate or refactor legacy JavaScript / COTS components to modern patterns.
- Support integration points (APIs, Power Automate flows) for notifications, content publishing, and future AI engine.
- Perform unit testing, coordinate UAT scripts, log defects, and assist with resolution.
- Author end-user documentation, quick-start guides, and train-the-trainer materials.
- Participate in knowledge transfer workshops; ensure Client admins can maintain taxonomy, templates, and pages.
- Provide post-production support under warranty : resolve low-to-medium priority tickets. Required Skillsets
- 3–5 years of hands-on development with SharePoint Online, SPFx (TypeScript / React), and PnP tooling.
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript / TypeScript, REST APIs, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience designing and enforcing metadata / taxonomy : term store management and content types.
- Skilled in search customization : result sources, query rules, and display templates.
- Familiarity and / or hands-on experience with migrating Classic to Modern sites, including refactoring legacy scripts.
- Knowledge of Power Automate for workflow automation and integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail.
- Effective communicator and technical writer; comfortable delivering training to end users.
- SharePoint or Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., SP-400, MS-600) are a plus.
