Key Responsibilities :
- Set up CNC / Swiss CNC machines, following standard operating procedures to produce quality parts within print specifications.
- Take corrective actions and adjust offsets as necessary to ensure parts are within specification limits.
- Work under the general direction of the department supervisor with minimal supervision.
- Make changes to machine offsets and replace worn or broken tooling.
- Assist with program management and ensure proper documentation on work orders.
- Visually inspect parts for defects at prescribed intervals and perform required quality checks.
- Read and understand written work instructions.
- Instruct others on the setup and operation of the machines.
- Participate actively in team meetings and continuous improvement activities to help meet goals related to quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
- Learn and employ basic computer skills to complete work orders.
- Read blueprints and use precision gauging equipment, such as micrometers and calipers.
