The College of Arts and Sciences seeks applications and nominations for the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies. The successful candidate will be a member of the Dean’s cabinet and will participate in policy, planning, and budget decisions within the College. The appointment will be at 0.50 FTE. Negotiable start date of January 2025 or August 2025.
Responsibilities include :
- Foster research support for faculty in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences.
- Serve as Chair of the College Research Advisory Committee.
- Oversee College research award programs (ENHANCE, international travel awards, and international and interdisciplinary research collaboration awards).
- Oversee and provide leadership for the advancement of graduate education in the College.
- Oversee research facilities, labs, and centers.
- Provide programming to support graduate student academic and career success.
- Facilitate grant reviews, routing, and research protocol oversight.
- Facilitate national and international faculty awards.
- Serve as representative to research and advisory boards.
- Serve as liaison to the Office of Research and NUTech Ventures.
- Serve as liaison to Associate Vice Chancellor for International Engagement & Global Strategies.
- Build and maintain connections to funding agencies.
