Job description

Ready to Lead the Future of Healthcare? Become a Chief Clinical Officer!

Are you a driven professional with 1-5 years of experience as an RN, PT, or OT? Do you have a passion for leadership, making a real impact, and shaping the future of healthcare? If you’re ready for a career with purpose, growth potential, and flexibility, we want YOU to join us.

About the Opportunity :

Join our Clinical Operational Leadership Training (COLT) Program and prepare to become a Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) at a Pennant-affiliated company. This paid, 3-4 month program provides real, on-the-job experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to lead your own clinical operation in the future. You’ll dive into clinical management, business strategies, and leadership while receiving guidance from top leaders who will help you develop the skills needed to succeed.

After completing the program, you’ll have the chance to take on a leadership role as a Director of Clinical Services (DCS / DPCS) .

Why You’ll Love This Role :

Fast-Paced Growth : This isn’t a traditional desk job! Gain hands-on experience in all aspects of running a healthcare operation—clinical management, leadership, and business strategy.

Mentorship : Work with some of the best in the business—experienced leaders who have built successful companies and will help you do the same.

Make an Impact : Lead, innovate, and drive change in the healthcare industry while shaping the future of care.

Lead Your Own Clinical Team : After completing the program, you’ll have the opportunity to lead your own clinical team at a Pennant-affiliated company. You’ll have the autonomy to build a high-performing team and make key decisions to deliver exceptional care.

What We’re Looking For :

1-5 years of clinical experience (RN, PT, OT)

Bachelor’s degree preferred (MBA or MHA is a plus)

Ability to pass state-required licensing exams (varies by state)

Willingness to relocate and travel as part of the dynamic, hands-on training program

After graduation, willingness to relocate to an opportunity that matches your interests and skills

Bonus Points If You :

Have an entrepreneurial mindset and want to build something from the ground up

Love leading and building teams

Have experience in marketing or financial management (but not required)

Show a long-term commitment to your career path

What’s In It for You?

Career Growth : Constantly learn, evolve, and improve as a leader while taking on new challenges.

Autonomy with Support : Lead your own team with the independence to make decisions, but with solid mentorship and resources to help you succeed.

Make a Real Difference : You won’t just be working for a paycheck—you’ll be improving lives and shaping the future of healthcare.

What You’ll Do :

On-Site Training : Gain hands-on experience in all aspects of running a healthcare operation, from clinical management to business strategy.

Mentorship : Receive guidance from experienced leaders who will help you develop your leadership skills and prepare you for a successful career as a CCO.

Pennant Leadership Model : As the right hand of the Executive Director (ED), you will play a key role in leading the clinical side of the operation. Each of our operations are led by an Executive Director who is empowered to make decisions and drive the success of their team. This local autonomy fosters an entrepreneurial environment where leaders are responsible for their own success, with the support of a broader network.

About Pennant :

Pennant is one of the fastest-growing companies in home health, hospice, and senior care, with over 160 operations across 14 states. At Pennant, we work in a flexible, entrepreneurial environment with no corporate red tape, empowering leaders to make a real impact.
