Job descriptionDrop-in visits : 30 / 45 / 60 minutes (1–3x daily) Overnights : 10-hour stays in the client’s home 24-hour live-in care : overnight + staying in client’s home most of daytime Peace of mind : clear after-each-visit updates with photos Easy logistics : professional meet & greet + smooth coordination Medication confidence : careful, calm handling when needed Home-care basics : the details done right (litter / food / water / tidy) Reliability : on-time, routine consistency Trust : respectful, professional in someone’s home Competitive pay rates Bonus opportunities (holidays, short notice, referrals, strong feedback, etc.) 100% of tips go to the sitter Support from a national community of pet care providers Morning (6a–12p) Afternoon (12p–5p) Evening (5p–10p) Overnights (10 hours) Live-in (24 hours) 18+ and cat care experience (professional not required, but real experience is) A smartphone with reliable internet + camera (updates are required) Ability to pass a background check and provide references Strong written communication and responsiveness Professionalism entering and working in clients’ homes Medication experience (oral meds, injections, fluids) and / or Pet First Aid / CPR Availability during peak times (especially winter holidays) You can’t reliably arrive within a scheduled visit window You don’t want to send updates after each visit You struggle following detailed instructions exactly You are uncomfortable working independently in clients’ homes You are not comfortable with occasional shy / anxious cats (patience required) Background and reference checks required Apply to only one location / position No phone calls (high volume; we contact strong matches)

The Comforted Kitty is contracting with independent cat sitters in the Winston-Salem metro area. This is a 1099 independent contractor role (not W-2). You choose your availability and service area; we match you with clients based on fit and demand.
What You’ll Do
- Provide in-home cat sitting for drop-ins and overnights
- Follow client instructions precisely : food, water, litter, enrichment
- Support meds when applicable (based on your skill level and comfort)
- Keep the home tidy + handle small tasks (mail, plants, trash)
- Send updates after each visit (notes + photos) via our app
