Position Summary
Casa Centrals Early Learning Academy provides high?quality, comprehensive early childhood services for young children (prenatal to age five) and their families. The Home Visitor is responsible for delivering quality home?based services to parents, supporting the parents role as their childs first and most important teacher and promoting holistic development across domains.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement weekly lesson plans based on child assessment and family needs, including education, mental health, dental health, nutrition, parent involvement, and social services.
- Conduct developmental and social?emotional screenings with parents / caregivers and assist with identification of children who need referrals, ensuring inclusive participation of children with disabilities and diverse learning needs.
- Provide developmentally appropriate home?based activities following the Parents as Teachers (PAT) curriculum and schedule 90?minute weekly home visits, including make?up visits when necessary.
- Travel throughout Chicago, advocate for families, and collaborate with internal partners and external supports; maintain a child, family, and staff confidentiality standard.
- Maintain accurate program records, including timesheets, weekly schedules, mileage, in?kind, home visits, and lesson plans; endorse compliance with agency and funder guidelines.
- Participate in performance quality improvement processes, engage in ongoing staff development, and attend regular supervision, staff meetings, and training sessions.
General Requirements

Education / Experience
A.A. in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field (at least 21 CD / ECE?related credits). A Gateways Infant / Toddler and / or Early Childhood Education Credential Level 3 or above, a Home Visiting CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential, or a professional development plan to achieve required credential / education within 12 months of hire.
Language Skills
Bilingual / Bicultural in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
Computer Literacy & Knowledge
Data entry skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook) and knowledge of ChildPlus or other online database systems preferred.
Physical & Environmental Demands
Regular travel within the Chicago area, use of hands, lift a 50 lb. child, and availability evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
