ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
HireIQ Solutions is leading the search for a Project Manager on behalf of a well-established mechanical contracting firm in Oregon. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing mechanical construction projects, with some involvement in business development activities. Occasional travel may be required.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
• Research, prepare, and present project proposals
• Prepare cost control and expense reports
• Schedule work and track job progress
• Review design drawings and prepare estimates and change orders
• Prepare monthly billings, projections, and spreadsheet reports
• Draft subcontracts, purchase orders, correspondence, field questions, and job documentation
• Supervise preparation of submittals, operations and maintenance manuals, air balance logs, and as-builts
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers, field personnel, office staff, and suppliers
• Participate in training and professional development as assigned
• Provide timely and constructive communication regarding project status and issues throughout all phases
• Complete job close-out procedures
• Demonstrate and uphold company safety standards to ensure projects are managed safely, proactively, and consistently
• Utilize Windows, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project
• Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• Minimum five years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Experience in mechanical engineering and construction preferred but not required
• Proven track record of successful project delivery and satisfied customer references
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, contracts, proposals, and estimates
• Experience managing mechanical projects ranging from $100,000 to $2,000,000+
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
• Ability to consistently set goals and meet deadlines
• Strong customer-service mindset
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Must be willing to work extended hours when business demands require
