ABOUT THIS POSITION
UX Designers at Waystar are responsible for ensuring that the software we create is easy to use, easy to learn, and provides maximum efficiency for the user.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Responsibilities
- Working closely with Product Managers to transform business goals into actionable UX / UI business requirements in line with a user-centered design philosophy
- Collaborating with Product and Engineering to vet and refine how UX / UI requirements are implemented by Engineering
- Using UX / UI business requirements to define process flows and create conceptual wireframes
- Creating high-fidelity interactive prototypes when needed for user testing, communicating complex interaction requirements, etc
- Fully owning responsibility for the holistic experience of products within their assigned product area
- Working with Product Managers to describe a project plan for each initiative , including dates around each phase of work, and asset delivery timing
- Maintaining product subject matter expertise within their assigned product area
- Developing internal and external relationships to generate future site visit opportunities
- Helping craft processes and tools to standardize ongoing UX responsibilities. This includes meaningful additions to our user feedback processes, workflow design activities, and our general support across the organization for the development of new designs.
- Leading site visits , interviews, and surveys to develop a thorough understanding of our users
- Continually improving key internal relationships across departments to ensure the UX / UI team is aware of all UX needs within the organization, and meeting them
- Using advanced behavioral metrics techniques to find opportunities for improvement within existing solutions
- Providing UX subject matter expertise throughout the business
- Providing design and process guidance to help other departments be more effective wherever needed
- Serving as a mentor for UX Designers with less experience on the team, to provide guidance and exemplify how UX Designers function within the department, and within the organization
