What You Can Expect
As our Health and Safety Representative III, at Georgetown University, you will support the implementation of the ENGIE NORAM H&S standard and strategic initiatives at three Washington, DC area campuses. You will be responsible for all personnel safety training, monitoring and auditing at campus utilities operations, facilities, and construction project sites. Supports the corporate HSE Director and peers in the development of new, revised, and existing fleet-wide H&S compliance policies, programs, processes and procedures, including interface with ENGIE wide HSE teams.
Every day you will support corporate reporting and trend analysis by ensuring that sites report all H&S KPIs via the tools provided, reviewing and revising procedures at the direction of the campus and corporate leadership, as well as answering any compliance questions raised by plant, project management, and corporate staff. You will report to the CEO, Georgetown Energy Partners.
What You'll Bring
- You possess a Bachelor of Science degree, or a combination of a technical diploma and relevant experience
- You are a Certified Safety Professional (CSP); Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST); or an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or on track to achieve the CSP
- You have a minimum 5 years relevant experience in Health and Safety
- You are a subject matter expert in OSHA (US) 1910 and 1926
- You have the ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of management both at the unit and corporate level, as well as governmental agencies
- You can exhibit root cause failure analysis tools and their application for recordable events
- You have experience with behavioral science and the psychology behind influencing change
- You have experience in commercial and industrial construction environments
- You have the ability to work with contractors to ensure contractor's H&S Standards are equal to or exceed ENGIE Northam's H&S Standards
- You will conduct regular training, supervision, audits, hazard assessments, mitigation planning, pre-job safety plans, incident investigations, root cause analyses and ensure proper reporting protocols have been fully implemented
- You will support all the implementation of the ENGIE H&S standards for ENGIE utilities operations and construction projects, which includes policies, programs, processes and procedures
- You will review contractor H&S execution plans including oversight resource requirements to ensure full compliance with ENGIE Group Rules governing contract work
- You will modify local H&S procedures as needed to conform to ENGIE NorthAm H&S procedures and ENGIE Group Rules
- You will develop training programs and / or conducts training on mandated programs, such as lock out tag out, confined spaces, hazardous communication, and medical surveillance

Compensation
Salary Range : $100,800 - $134,400 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
