Purchasing Specialist

We are looking for a motivated, energetic person that wants a career, not just a job. We work with, and supply, many high-profile customers, so a desire to be the best you can be is important. Our growing company is a top supplier of fasteners to several Fortune 500 companies.

We are seeking a talented Purchasing Specialist/Agent to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities in the purchasing process
  • Create and process purchase orders
  • Use problem solving skills to work and resolve delivery and vendor issues.
  • Strong cost negotiating ability and inventory control knowledge are a must.
  • Weekly purchase reporting

Must Haves:

  • Minimum 2 years purchasing experience required.
  • Detail oriented
  • Great communication skills are critical.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, understanding, aligning, delivering and following up with internal and external customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to learn new software programs.
