The Junior Controller is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations, future planning, reporting, and analysis. The Junior Controller will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets and liabilities. Responsible for performing all accounting activities and analysis, budget administration, and cash management.
Successful candidates for a Junior Controller position typically possess the following qualifications and skills:
Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Pursuing professional certifications like a CPA or CMA is often preferred and can enhance career prospects.
Experience: 3-6 years of hands-on accounting or related experience is required.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP), and advanced Excel skills are essential. Experience in use of an ERP is a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are highly valued
