WonderWorks Destiny is looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined individual to join our Maintenance Team as an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician .
In this role, you will help keep our attraction, equipment, games, and facilities operating safely and efficiently.
This is a great opportunity for someone with basic mechanical or technical knowledge who is looking to build their skills in a unique amusement and entertainment environment.
What You'll Do Perform routine maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and basic repairs on attraction equipment, games, and facility equipment.
Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
Help maintain and repair arcade games, small amusement equipment, and other mechanical systems.
Perform general building and facility maintenance, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and repairs.
Use hand and power tools safely and properly.
Follow preventative maintenance schedules and complete maintenance documentation.
Identify potential equipment or facility issues and communicate them to the Maintenance team.
Assist with keeping equipment, work areas, and the facility clean and organized.
Follow all company safety procedures and applicable equipment safety requirements.
Learn and develop new mechanical, electrical, and maintenance skills through hands-on training.
What We're Looking For Previous maintenance, mechanical, construction, automotive, HVAC, electrical, or technical experience is helpful but not required .
Basic understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
Comfortable using or learning to use hand and power tools.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Mechanically inclined with a desire to understand how things work and how to fix them .
Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and maintenance schedules.
Reliable, dependable, and willing to work as part of a team.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced entertainment environment.
Willingness to learn—we can teach the right person the attraction-specific equipment and systems.
Education & Experience High school diploma or GED preferred.
Technical school, vocational training, or coursework in mechanical, electrical, automotive, HVAC, or a related field is a plus.
Entry-level candidates and recent technical school graduates are encouraged to apply.
