Recommend, interpret, and locate library-offered information resources of all types to help faculty and students further teaching and learning.
Required Qualifications :
Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline.
Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment..
Requires a Master's Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution and 6+ years of relevant experience

This position is a temporary librarian sabbatical replacement that will start in late 2024 and extend through the end of June 2025 or possibly late December 2025.
The copyright librarian serves as the primary campus contact for copyright and licensing questions from faculty, staff, students, and library users. Responsibilities include consulting on campus copyright cases, assisting faculty with rights requests, supporting OER creation, issuing DMCA takedown notices, administering the college’s copyright and media release policies and operating procedures, and managing copyright risk.
Successful applicants without copyright expertise will be given on-the-job training through rigorous programs administered by Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center for the Internet and Society or the copyright curriculum from Duke, Emory and UNC Chapel Hill, as well as direct mentorship by JCCC’s Copyright Librarian.
Coordinate and schedule all in-person and online library instruction requests from JCCC and College Now Faculty, utilizing LibCal, SPACES, and Microsoft Teams.
Create and teach v and tailored library research workshops for classes in English, History, Honors, Psychology, and more. This position is expected to be responsible for teaching at least 80% of requested library sessions.
Maintain and update instruction-related library research guides when needed.
Meet one-on-one with students to discuss library research and methods / resources for their projects.
