Role Description
This full‑time, on‑site role in New York, NY requires an Associate Designer for Lighting & Audio Visual Services within the Live Events industry. The Associate Designer will assist in the production and implementation of all lighting and audio‑visual projects, including conceptual design, development, document preparation, and project management. The Associate Designer will also work with clients to understand their needs, budget, and timeline.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Theatre Design or a related field is preferred
2+ years of experience in lighting and audio visual design, production, and implementation
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Vectorworks software
Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and vendors
Project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and timelines
Experience in live events, theatre, or entertainment industry is a plus
Passion for design, innovation, and a desire to learn and develop new skills
