Company Overview: Our client is a well-established manufacturer of precision-machined metal components and assemblies supporting a diverse industrial customer base across energy, infrastructure, transportation, industrial processing, and heavy equipment markets. • Ensure manufactured components are produced safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality standards and customer delivery requirements.
  • Manage labor utilization, machine capacity, workflow, and production schedules to maximize throughput and on-time performance.
  • Monitor key production metrics and implement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities focused on waste reduction, process optimization, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement cost-saving opportunities involving labor, tooling, equipment utilization, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop, document, and maintain standardized manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and best practices.
  • Partner with Quality personnel to investigate production issues, nonconformances, customer concerns, and corrective actions.
  • Lead, mentor, train, and develop supervisors, machinists, maintenance personnel, and other manufacturing staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development through coaching, training, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing organization.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, and employee retention efforts.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs for CNC machine tools and supporting production equipment to maximize uptime and reliability.
  • Coordinate maintenance priorities and resources to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Assist with capital equipment evaluations, process improvements, equipment upgrades, and future manufacturing investments.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct and support routine safety meetings, training programs, and workplace safety initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment consistent with 5S and Lean principles.
  • Manage procurement activities related to tooling, MRO supplies, cutting tools, fixtures, and manufacturing consumables.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery, cost effectiveness, and uninterrupted production support.
  • Support departmental budgeting, labor efficiency reporting, and operational performance tracking.
  • Participate in management meetings and provide input regarding manufacturing performance, staffing requirements, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives.

  • Ability to review, troubleshoot, and support G-code machining programs.
  • CAD/CAM programming experience highly preferred, including Mastercam or similar software.
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance principles for CNC machine tools and supporting equipment.

Preferred

  • Associate's degree or higher in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
