HFS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Torrance, California. Our high-tech, multi-material fastening systems are found nose to tail on aircraft and aerospace engines. Our products are also critical components of industrial gas turbines, automobiles, commercial transportation vehicles, and construction and industrial equipment.Key Responsibilities : Develop, optimize, and monitor plating processes including electroplating, electroless plating, anodizing, and surface

daily production operations by troubleshooting process issues, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions.Ensuring the Heat Treat processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials and equipment specifications as required for NADCAP Certification and as detailed in the BU Heat Treat manual, business operation, and customer requirements.Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards related to chemical processing and plating

and qualify new materials, chemicals, and equipment for plating

chemical analysis and control of plating baths to maintain consistent process parameters.Utilize SPC charts and maintain and improve process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process control plans.Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plating quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.Educate operators about plating procedures and best practices, including creating / revising work instructions and training

closely with R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams to support new product introductions (NPI) and process
